In Northern Ireland the incentives for CHP are great as for plants under 500kWe they get 4 x ROC (which is twice the amount in England).
We sold two engines instead of one 500kWe engine so that he could still produce power and heat even while one engine was down for planned or unplanned maintenance. We also supplied a manifold system to control and distribute the heat throughout the site at different temperatures.
Units were delivered to site September 2013 and commissioned February 2014. They have been running now continuously since and is providing power to the NIE grid.
Customer is happy with the installation and level of support he has received and is in the process of producing an article for our marketing team. We are also able to use this site as a reference site for similar and future projects.
